The South Wales mining town of Tredegar has had two greyhound tracks in the past. The first to open was at the local Recreation Ground, but that closed before the start of World War 2, and it was not until 1947 that greyhound racing returned to the town. The track, on Queen Victoria Street, was the Jesmond Dene Stadium, and administered racing as an independent track for over 10 years. |
